All-On-4 Q&A

What are All-On-4® dental implants?
All-On-4 dental implants are a type of dental restoration used to restore most or all of your missing teeth. Traditional dental implants involve Dr. Kheshtchin placing one implant into the socket of each of your missing teeth.

All-On-4 implants, on the other hand, require only four implants. Ultimately, this means less time in surgery, quicker recovery times, and a lower risk of complications. All-On-4 dental implants are just as sturdy and long-lasting as their traditional counterparts.

Do I qualify for All-On-4 dental implants?
To determine if you’re a candidate for All-On-4 dental implants, make an appointment with Dr. Kheshtchin at A&N Dental.

During your initial consultation, Dr. Kheshtchin performs an oral exam, reviews your medical history, and asks you about your goals for treatment. She also takes a cone beam dental CT scan which takes three-dimensional images of your teeth, gums, and jawbone.

She uses this information to determine if your gums and jaw are healthy enough to receive implants. Your cone beam dental CT scan also helps Dr. Kheshtchin develop a treatment plan that aligns with your needs.

What is the process for receiving All-On-4 dental implants?
Receiving All-On-4 dental implants typically takes a series of appointments spread out over the course of between six months and one year. If Dr. Kheshtchin determines that your gums and jawbone are healthy enough to receive implants, she moves forward with treatment.

First, she administers a local anesthetic, ensuring you feel no pain. Next, she surgically places a series of metal posts, four in the top of your mouth and four on the bottom. After completing the operation, she sends you home with a list of recovery instructions.

During the next 3-4 months, your bone tissue grows around the implants, fusing them to your jawbone.

A few months later, after your mouth heals, you return to A&N Dental. At your second appointment, Dr. Kheshtchin takes molds of your mouth. She sends the molds to a laboratory that manufactures your new arches of prosthetic teeth.

A week or two later, you return to A&N dental and Dr. Kheshtchin places your new arches, restoring your smile to its healthy, near-original condition.

All-On-4 dental implants look and feel just like your natural teeth, so no one but you and Dr. Kheshtchin will know you’ve had any work done.

If you’re missing most or all of your teeth, and you’re tired of wearing dentures, request an All-On-4 consultation at A&N Dental today. Call the office or click the online booking tool to begin.
